Construction of a cycleway/multi-user trail, as part of the Derwent Valley Cycleway, on existing or reconfigured Rights of Way, from Chevin road in the south to Bridge Foot in the north. The trail will be constructed to Sustrans standards, implying a 3 m wide tarmac pathway, of appropriate colouring. As the route is on the flood plain alongside the River Derwent, it will be flood tolerant. With agreement with landowners or tenants, various gateways between fields will be reconfigured, to allow for easy movement of user traffic, while retaining control of motor vehicle movement or farm animals. (Departure from the Local Plan, and may affect public right of way, the setting of a listed building, the setting of the Conservation Area and its setting, the openness of the green belt and may adversely impact significance of the World Heritage Site and its setting)
